The 30th Space Wing at Vandenberg says the heightened state of security will remain in place indefinitely.
No details on why the security has been increased at this time. However, the measures were imposed after /*Osama bin Laden*/ released an audio recording threatening Americans.
As part of security procedures, outdoor recreational activity has also been banned on most parts of Vandenberg's 98,000 acres.
