Gunmen open fire at South L.A. bus stop

LOS ANGELES Police say the blue /*Chevrolet*/ truck pulled up to the bus stop at the corner of Western and Vernon Avenues around 10:42 a.m., and that two people in the truck fired several rounds.

A 35-year-old man was hit in the neck and was hospitalized in critical condition. The other three victims, a 55-year-old man who was hit in the side, a 50-year-old man who was shot in the arms, and a 25-year-old man who suffered wounds to the lower back, were all taken to hospitals in stable condition.

Police said the motive for the shooting was unknown.

The truck was last seen heading north on Western.
