L.B. water main from 1922 ruptures

LONG BEACH, Calif. Long Beach Fire and water department crews have been on scene since the rupture just before 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Officials had to shut down water flow to the area in order to repair the eight-inch pipe, which dates back to 1922. There is no word on when it will be restored.

The area is open for traffic despite some minor flooding.
