Diet can lower risk of death 25 percent

LOS ANGELES Nutrition experts at the National Institutes of Health found that eating healthier food can lower your risk of dying by up to 25 percent.

The good news for those of us who don't always eat a balanced diet is that you don't have to eat perfectly to reap the longevity benefits. Even those in the study who had five or six servings of veggies a week were able to cut their risk significantly.
