SoCal homeless shelter unveils facilities

BELL, Calif. Nine new modular transition homes will be home to 54 homeless people, nearly half of whom are veterans.

The /*Salvation Army*/ says it has seen an increasing need for veteran housing, especially for those returning from Iraq.

With the financial support of a number of agencies, The Salvation Army built the units in the city of Bell. Officials say they also have plans for additional homes as funds become available.
