ALTADENA, Calif. --A young man apparently fell 100 feet to his death while hiking above Altadena Tuesday. The man, whose identity has not been released and was described only as being in his early 20s, was hiking with a 17-year-old friend along a popular trail in Eaton Canyon.
It is not clear what caused him to fall. But when firefighters were called to the area around 10 a.m., they found the man's body near a waterfall. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The teenager hiking with him was not injured.
