SOUTH BAY, LOS ANGELES --
Two men were arrested after police seized $150,000 worth of fireworks during raids in Torrance and Redondo Beach.Brian Flanigan, 40, was arrested at about 10 p.m. Tuesday at his home in the 1600 block of Beech Avenue in Torrance. Patrick German, 39, of Redondo Beach, was taken into custody at an undisclosed location at about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Both men were booked for illegal possession of explosives, according to Redondo Beach Police Sgt. Phil Keenan.
Police say they found a large amount of fireworks at Flanigan's residence.
Firefighters and explosives experts were working to safely remove the illegal fireworks. Police say they also found several weapons during the raids.
