Ventura killer may have targeted woman

VENTURA KEYS, Calif. According to the Ventura County Star, police now believe Wendy Dirodio was targeted by her killer, not killed as a result of a break-in or botched burglary.

Dirodio lived with her elderly parents, who were home at the time of her death.

There have been no arrests in the case.

Investigators say they're still waiting on toxicology results, along with other evidence to be processed.
