6.0-mag. quake hits off coast of Mexico

GULF OF CALIFORNIA The quake hit at 4 a.m. with a preliminary magnitude of 6.1, but it was downgraded to a 6.0.

The earthquake was centered 64 miles southwest of Los Mochis in Sinaloa, which is about 690 miles south of Tijuana.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
