David Beckham returns, but for how long?

LOS ANGELES /*Beckham*/ spoke to the media about his future with the team. Monday was the soccer star's first practice with the /*Galaxy*/ since going on loan to Italy's /*AC Milan*/ and missing the season's first 17 games.

It's been widely reported Beckham can opt out of his five-year deal at the end of the season.

Beckam is returning to teammates who have reportedly mixed feelings about the soccer star. Teammate /*Landon Donovan*/ criticizes Beckam in an upcoming book about the star's time with the Galaxy, "/*The Beckham Experiment*/," written by Grant Wahl. On Saturday, Beckham said Donovan was "unprofessional" for the comments and says his teammate should have confronted him first. However, Beckham and Donovan seemed to have ended the "Galaxy War" Monday.

"I am not going to talk about what was said. That is between me, Landon and the manager. But it's finished ... it's over," said Beckham.

"Yes I do regret some of the things I said," said Donovan. "I regret the way it was said."

On Saturday, the Galaxy (4-3-9) won its season-high third straight game, its longest streak since reeling off six straight in 2007. Beckham and his family watched from a suite alongside fellow soccer star Zinedine Zidane.

Beckham will play with the Galaxy on Thursday in New York.

Ironically, Beckham will play with Donovan and the galaxy against AC Milan, Beckham's old team, this weekend at the Home Depot Center.
