An Eyewitness News viewer who witnessed the accident says the boy fell off his skateboard and was then hit by the car.
Police say it appears the driver never saw the teen. The driver has been questioned by police, but has not been cited.
The 15 year-old was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries and is expected to survive.
