Orange juice may improve heart health

Researchers at the /*American Heart Association*/'s cardiovascular conference say an antioxidant in orange juice called hesperidin improves blood vessel function and helps lower a person's risk of /*heart disease*/.

Men who drank a glass of orange juice a day had lower diastolic blood pressure.

Hesperidin is a plant-based compound that contains flavonoids. Scientists say flavonoids can improve the health of cells that line blood vessels.
