Cartons of romaine lettuce recalled

SALINAS, Calif. The product was distributed by Tanimura & Antle Inc. of Salinas, California, and has been sold in California.

No illnesses have been reported, but Tanimura & Antle voluntarily recalled the product because of the potential of salmonella contamination.

The cartons of bulk or wrapped recalled romaine are marked with the lot code 5313800 and were harvested June 25 to July 2. The product was sold to retail, wholesale and food service outlets across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
