PETA alleges animal abuse in circus video

NEW YORK /*PETA*/ says someone affiliated with the group shot the video before circus performances in various cities this year. The video is hard to make out, but PETA says it shows circus trainers using bullhooks to move elephants and whipping tigers.

A spokesman for Feld Entertainment, which owns Ringling Brothers, accused PETA of releasing misinformation. The company says its animals are treated fairly and in compliance with all regulations.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
