Woman leads CHP on high-speed pursuit

OXNARD, Calif. Ventura County police say the incident began at about 5 p.m. when they were called out to a home in Oxnard. Susquahanna Dasha Hummer, 28, had reportedly been pounding on the windows of the home, which belonged to her father. Police say Hummer was upset over her father's relationship with his fiance and had made threatening statements, but she was not at the scene when they arrived.

While officers were investigating, Hummer returned to the home. When officers tried to contact her, she sped away in a Green Kia SUV.

Officers tried to stop Hummer many times, but she ran several stop signs and finally entered the 101 Freeway. The CHP then began following Hummer as she drove erratically at a high speed.

The CHP took Hummer into custody Monday evening.
