No foul play suspected in Torrance death

Foul play is not suspected in the death of a woman found by a neighbor in her apartment in Torrance on Monday.Friends said the woman is 32-year-old Tori Anderson, a single mother.

She was discovered dead at about 2 p.m. at an apartment building in the 2400 block of 227th Street in Torrance.

Investigators have not determined a cause of death but do not believe it to be suspicious. They are waiting for a coroner's report for confirm. Police had said on Monday the death was suspicious.

Police said on Tuesday that they are not looking for suspects in the death.

"Family's devastated. She was well-liked, well-loved ... sweetest gal you could work with," said Able Valenzula, one of Anderson's coworkers.

Those who worked with Anderson say she was a receptionist at Liberty Appliance on Lomita Boulevard. The business is said to be owned by Anderson's father and uncle.

The victim's young daughter, a toddler is said to be in the care of a family member.
