Ashton Kutcher in provocative new film

Hollywood Wrap with George Pennacchio
LOS ANGELES In "Spread," Ashton Kutcher has a way with words -- and women. He plays a sexual grifter who uses his gifts so he can get the best things in life for free.

Anne Heche plays his latest conquest.

"Then when I said to Ashton, 'I think this is true and not a joke,' and he said, 'Me, too. Let's push some boundaries. Let's go for it,'" said Anne. "And so he was game and, you know, it was really special to do for that reason. We made an adult, what I thought was a very adult, relationship."

The film is rated "R" for strong sexual content, nudity and language.

Ashton's character knows what women want to hear. As a teenager, the actor wasn't so smooth, and he dealt with the pains of young love.

"I had a girl in high school that I was dating, and she was the daughter of the principal of the high school," said Ashton. "And then I broke into the high school and got put in jail for breaking into the high school, and she broke up with me, and it was like... Ngh!"

When it comes to bad pick-up lines, Ashton's co-star, Margarita Levieva, has heard them all.

"My name is Margarita, so I've gotten like every one of them in the book," said Margarita. "Like, 'You taste really good on the rocks,' or 'I'll take you without salt.' I mean, like everything in the world."

"Spread" opens August 14.
