"Legs just open, arms just open, he had his face covered because he had a shirt over it. We didn't lift it," said neighbor Van Milton.
Residents said they saw a small group of young people standing by a grassy area next to their home. They were staring at the body of a young man shot to death.
"My heart was pumping. I didn't know I was going to be seeing that," said neighbor Mirna Glover.
Police said the victim was a 20-year-old male from the West Covina area.
Neighbor Justine Ochoa said she heard gunshots late last night.
"It was about 11 o'clock, me and my mom got home around 10:30, and I was ready to go to sleep, and then I heard a gunshot, I heard one, and then a pause, and then I heard another one," she said.
Police need the public's help finding the suspects.
