LAPD helicopter makes hard landing

LANCASTER, Calif. The /*LAPD*/ says the three officers on board had been hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The officers were practicing auto rotations when it went down at /*Fox Airfield*/ near W. 50th Street and Avenue G.

Fire officials say the chopper's underside was damaged.

The crash is under investigation.
