2 killed after car flies off 5 South

LOS ANGELES Robert Vardanyan and Tina Uguryan were killed around 9 p.m. when their speeding car ran off the freeway and slammed into a tree near the Colorado Street off ramp in Atwater Village.

The car was ripped apart on impact.

The CHP says the driver had just cut off another vehicle at the time, but didn't release which of the victims was behind the wheel.

They were pronounced dead at the scene.
