Robber kills himself when cops arrive

IRVINE, Calif. The Orange County coroner's office identified the suspect as Jeffrey Hudson, a 29-year-old Fallbrook man.

Irvine police responded to a call of a bank robbery just after two p.m. at a Bank of America along Jamboree Road.

When they arrived, police say they confronted Hudson as he exited the bank with the loot.

According to police, Hudson suddenly turned the gun on himself and pulled the trigger.
