Trial for man who stabbed USC student

LOS ANGELES According to the L.A. Times, 23-year-old Bryan Frost and a group of friends were walking past an apartment complex just north of campus last September when Frost slammed a sliding gate shut. The noise caught the attention of 24-year-old Travion Ford.

The two exchanged words and began fighting. That's when prosecutors say Ford stabbed Frost.

Ford pleaded not guilty and claims he acted out of self-defense. He faces 26 years to life in prison.
