SANTA ANA, Calif. --
The sounds of construction will soon be heard out at John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana as a major expansion is getting underway.Huge concrete piles will be pounded into the ground to brace the foundations of a new terminal wing and parking garage.
Airport officials say travelers and people in hotels and businesses along Macarthur Boulevard will probably hear some construction noise.
The parking garage is scheduled to be finished by late 2010. The terminal will be ready between late 2011 and early 2012.
