Town Hall in Carson addresses shooting

CARSON, Calif. The shooting, which happened on Aug. 7, sparked a town hall meeting at City Hall Friday night.

Authorities say 33-year-old /*Tito Jacobo*/, a wanted parolee, was shot to death when he tried to grab a deputy's gun. Some residents say Jacobo was on the ground when a deputy shot him several times.

Friday night, Jacobo's brother spoke out.

"When my brother was alive, they were always going after him," said Cesar Jacobo. "And he ran, and they came back. So I just want to know. I want answers, not the runaround."

"The deputy who was involved in this will not be going back on patrol," said Capt. Bernice Abram from the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. told the brother at the town hall.

The L.A. County District Attorney's office is conducting an independent review of the shooting.
