Teens raise $150k for Childrens Hospital

LOS ANGELES Nathalia Ramos and Bosilika An are the two young ladies who came up with the idea for a fundraiser. They presented a check for more than $150,000.

The teenage students created the idea after volunteering at the hospital. They noticed that the toys and attention went to the youngest patients. They decided to help teen patients.

A fundraiser was staged at the /*Crustacean restaurant*/ in Beverly Hills, complete with a fashion show.

The teenagers were featured in an April 13 segment of "People Helping People" on ABC7 Eyewitness News.

"We're just teens and we know that if we were here it would be really hard for us, and we're just putting ourselves in their shoes ... they're just like us," Ramos said in April. "Just because we're teens and we're young doesn't mean that we can't make a difference."
