Grossman Burn Center moving across town

SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. For 30 years, the Grossman Burn Center has operated out of the Sherman Oaks Hospital Medical Center.

But Tuesday, it announced the center will relocate to the West Hills Hospital & Medical Center.

It will cap off a roughly $60 million expansion at West Hills.

The new Grossman Burn Center will replace the building formally occupied by the Hospital's Intensive Care Unit, which is moving to a new medical tower on the West Hills Campus.

Dr. Peter Grossman, the co-director of the burn center said, "After three decades in Sherman Oaks, the decision to move was not one we made lightly, but West Hills Hospital presented us with opportunities and advantages that we could not find anywhere else."
