Small Palos Verdes fire quickly put out

PALOS VERDES The fire broke out after a car crashed into an electrical vault near Crenshaw and Palos Verdes Drive at 4:59 p.m.

Dozens of firefighters were quick to respond, along with the help of two Super Scooper planes.

The fire charred only three acres, and no homes were damaged. The fire was under control by 6:12 p.m.

Authorities said two teens were found in the car suffering from minor burns.

The blaze came one week after a 100-acre fire forced as many as 1,500 people to evacuate the area.
