Man found dead in Riverside County lake

LAKE ELSINOR, Calif. The body was found in an unincorporated area of Lake Elsinore at the base of some foothills in a waterway at the north end of the lake.

Riverside County Sheriff's investigators say that the man had been shot.

Divers were called in to comb the area for any clues to what might have happened.

The death is being investigated as a homicide.

The victim is a Hispanic man but his identity won't be released until his family is notified.
