Body found at McGrath State Beach

OXNARD, Calif. The body of a middle-aged, white man was discovered near the old Mandalay Bay Power Plant at about 7 p.m. There are reports he had been shot.

Capt. Ross Bonfiglio did say the man had a head wound, but he did not confirm that the victim had been shot.

Sheriff's department investigators say the death is suspicious.
