LOS ANGELES --
Being stuck in traffic can raise your stress level. Now a new study shows that the traffic noise itself can raise your stress level.Environmental researchers in Sweden have linked the noise from busy roads to higher blood pressure.
Since the findings were based on a survey, some experts are skeptical about the conclusion.
Previous studies have linked air pollution to high blood pressure, so it's possible the effects of both the noise and the pollution account for the increase in blood pressure.
