Fate of 30 Starbucks stores reversed

SEATTLE Thirty Starbucks stores that were among the 800 slated for closure will now stay open. The company's CFO said the 30 shops had become more profitable.

Meanwhile, baristas at California Starbucks stores have suffered a legal setback. The state Supreme Court will not review a ruling that wiped out an order for the coffee chain to pay millions of dollars in restitution to baristas who had to share tips with their supervisors.
