Authorities said Zacarias told the female driver to pull over because he was "a cop," and flashed a badge and an ID card issued by the L.A. school police.
Zacarias, 80, says the whole thing was a misunderstanding.
His attorney appeared in court Friday, but no plea was entered. Zacarias was ordered to return to court Sept. 29
Zacarias spent nearly 34 years with the /*Los Angeles Unified School District*/, including 2 1/2 years as superintendent in the late 1990s.
