Assistance centers open for Station Fire

IRWINDALE, Calif. The centers are intended to offer a one-stop source for information on how to apply for assistance, file insurance claims and replace lost records.

The Acton center opens Thursday at 9 a.m. at 3748 Nickels Avenue and will only be open for the day.

The Sylmar center opens at 9 a.m. and will be open for a week. It is located at 13000 Sayre Street.

Full containment for the Station Fire is still scheduled for Saturday. The fire has burned through 250 square miles of the Angeles National Forest since it broke out nearly a month ago.
