Convicted designer's sister fined $1,000

LOS ANGELES Sanjana Alexander was fined and ordered to spend five days in jail or perform 120 hours of community service.

Last month, her brother was sentenced to 59 years to life in prison for sexually assaulting aspiring models.

During the trial, juror Alvin Dymally approached Sanjana Alexander in the courthouse cafeteria and gave her his number.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Wesley cited Sanjana Alexander for contempt of court for calling Dymally, who reportedly was trying to start a romance.

Alexander's attorney, Dana Cole said Alexander is sorry.

The juror, Dymally was also fined $1,000 dollars and ordered to perform community service.
