Her parents say she was drunk and unable to pay her bill at Geoffrey's restaurant in Malibu on Thursday night.
Authorities arrested and booked her, then released her about 1:25 a.m. Friday. The Sheriff's Department says she showed no signs of mental illness or intoxication.
Richardson recently moved to Los Angeles to live with her grandmother near the area where she planned to teach.
