He was released from prison last month when a judge overturned the conviction, ruling that false evidence had been used against him and that he had poor legal representation.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced it would re-try Lisker. But now prosecutors say they cannot proceed because evidence has been lost and destroyed, and the murder charge has been dropped.
