No room additions are allowed because the landmark is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Instead, the restaurant's owner plans to build a new 1,900-square-foot free standing structure between the current building and Anaheim Boulevard.
Its design will match the architecture of the original building.
The addition's name will be the "West Wing."
