Slater stars in ABC's 'The Forgotten'

LOS ANGELES Actor /*Christian Slater*/ stars in "The Forgotten," playing the head of a group of volunteers who help police try to solve the seemingly unsolvable crimes.

Their goal isn't to find the bad guys, it's to identify nameless victims.

"We're piecing together who they were. They had a whole life, a history. The idea is to bring closure," said Slater. "Think about all the family members that are missing. These people take the time to go the extra mile to solve it for them to give closure so they can stop worrying."

There is a darkness, but there is also this beautiful thing that can come out of every episode, if you discover who these people are. I think there is hope there.

"George you got the show. You nailed it. You nailed the emotion of the show," said executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer. "We usually have to explain it to everybody."
