Krupa leads the ladies on 'Dancing'

Hollywood Wrap with George Pennacchio
LOS ANGELES "I'm really putting so much energy and I'm so determined," said Joanna Krupa. "I wanted to do this show forever and it's like a pact. I'm doing this with my heart and soul. Like, I love it. I really do."

Model Joanna Krupa and her partner, Derek Hough, danced their way to first place with the judges. After the show, one pro did a number on Derek.

"Oh my gosh, Maximillian! Really? Is it Maks? is it Maks? I know it's Maks. It's always Maks," said Derek.

Mya and her partner tied for second place. And that's just fine with her.

"I was just very happy that I didn't slip, get snagged, trip, step on Dmitry's feet," said Mya. "I was so ecstatic about that."

Also ecstatic: Kelly Osbourne. A tie for second and this comment from head judge Len Goodman: "It was the best Viennese Waltz of the night."

"You don't understand," said Kelly. "When he said, I just -- I was like, I couldn't believe it! I couldn't believe it!"

"The journey has just started," said partner Louis Van Amstel.

In fourth place for the night, olympic swimmer Natalie Coughlin, who was thrilled to trade in her goggles for a gown.

"I normally do these post-race interviews with no make-up and I'm in like cap and goggles and this feels great to wear all this make-up and get dressed up and get all glammed up," said Natalie. "I love it."

Melissa Joan Hart is loving it, too. She and her partner are fifth on the ladies' leaderboard.

"I was so amazed at how much fun I had, how much fun it was," said Melissa. "I thought the nerves were going to get the better of me. ... But I had such fun. I was beaming after. It was so great."

In sixth place, a nervous Debi Mazar and her partner. But they had fun, too.

"First-night jitters, but I really had a good time," said Debi. "I wish that my footwork had been better. Thank god Maks had my back and kind of threw me back into position. Yeah, OK, let's keep on going."

Kathy Ireland landed in seventh place Judge Bruno Tonioli wanted more sex with her Salsa. Her partner, Tony Dovolani, disagreed with his assessment.

"It's not about what he's saying," said Tony. "And it's not who Kathy is. I'll never do that to a classy beautiful woman like this."

One point behind them, in last place, Macy Gray and her partner, Jonathan Roberts. Judge Len Goodman gave her his lowest score of the night, but told her if he was home, he'd be voting for her.

"I don't know how this is all going to play out but I'm glad that I got on the stage and I actually did something that I wasn't sure I could really do. So it's good," said Macy.

Now the bad: One female celebrity, one male celebrity and their professional partners will all get the axe during Wednesday night's results show at 8 p.m. on ABC7.
