LOS ANGELES Each of the hospitals was fined $25,000 dollars per violation.

The investigation was conducted by the the California Department of Public Health.

The hospitals include Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center, Saint John's Hospital and Health Center in Santa Monica, USC University Hospital, Kindred Hospital in Ontario, Loma Linda University Medical Center, Coast Plaza Doctors Hospital in Norwalk, Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center in San Diego County, and Tri-City Hospital in the San Diego County community of Oceanside.
