Will Rogers Beach closed due to sewage

LOS ANGELES A beach closure, due to sewage contamination, has been extended through Sunday.

Beach goers are being advised to avoid the water for a half-mile north and a half-mile south of the storm drain at Will Rogers State Beach.

Nearly 10,000 gallons of sewage discharged from the storm drain into ocean water.

It was reported late Tuesday.

Water testing confirmed bacteria levels are too high for human contact.
