Gas leak shut down parts of USC's campus

LOS ANGELES Construction crews using a rotary saw reportedly ruptured a four-inch, high pressure gas line shortly after 10:30 a.m., at the construction site of the new Cinema School.

According to USC, the /*Los Angeles Fire Department*/ evacuated a few buildings around the area and completely closed McClintock Avenue between 34th Street and Downey Way.

A crew from the Southern California Gas Company arrived about an hour later to contain the leak.
