Another water main bursts in South L.A.

LOS ANGELES The break happened just before 12:30 a.m. Friday at the corner of Imperial Highway and Denver Avenue.

The six-inch main broke, sending water, dirt, and mud rushing into the neighborhood.

Five homes were affected in the break, though no serious damage was reported.

There was no word Friday afternoon as to how long it would take crews to repair the main.

There have been dozens of /*water main breaks*/ around Los Angeles since Sept. 1.
