Metrolink fares may hike to aid deficit

LOS ANGELES Metrolink is looking to cut costs and increase revenues. Fares would rise between three and six percent.

Monthly passes would cost riders an extra $9 to $20, and there would be no more discounts for pass holders during the December holiday season.

A final decision is expected on Nov. 13 when a public hearing will be held.
