Hit-and-run driver kills man in Watts

WATTS, Calif. Police say the 49-year-old victim was crossing the street at Broadway and 93rd Street when a white Kia struck him and drove off at about 3:20 a.m.

The victim died at the scene.

Police were able to get a partial license plate number. Officers say the car had a California license plate that included the numbers and letters UR121.
