Disney Stores to undergo makeover

LOS ANGELES The Walt Disney Company says it will makeover its 340 European and U.S. Stores, and open new ones as well.

The company will spend about a million dollars in each of the stores.

The overhaul will focus on recreational activities with interactive technology, including theatres for kids to watch video clips, and systems so kids can teleconference with Disney stars.

It's all designed to keep customers shopping longer.

Disney will begin the changes here in Southern California, Long Island and Madrid. The Company plans to unveil the new look in May.

Disney is the parent company of ABC-7 Eyewitness News.
