Study: Women obese by 18 less fertile

A study by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine shows women who become obese by the age of 18 are less likely to become pregnant.In addition, the study shows young obese women are more likely to develop polycystic ovarian syndrome, a health problem that can affect a woman's menstrual cycle, hormones and heart.

The study revealed the reason many young women have weight reduction surgery is to improve their chances of conceiving.
