Yorba Linda, Calif. --Water is back on in Yorba Linda after a 4-inch main broke Monday night causing a 7-foot-wide sinkhole. The rupture was reported at 9:45 p.m. at 19651 Castellana Plaza, north of Yorba Linda and Fairmont Boulevards.Water started flowing at the entrance of a condo complex at the plaza but there have been no reports of any damage to homes or businesses. Six condominiums were affected by the break and water service was restored to those six customers by 5 a.m. Tuesday.
A crew from Golden State Water Company has since repaired the main and filled the sinkhole. Inspectors are still trying to determine why the water main broke.
