Celebrity burglars had more targets in mind

LOS ANGELES Authorities say those suspects took more than $3 million worth of jewelry, designer clothing and accessories from the homes of many cellbirti4es and today 4 additional suspects were charged with first degree felony, residential burglary and authorities tell us that today they are on the hunt for yet another suspect, Jonathan Ajar.

Jonathan Ajar is the latest suspect named by LAPD detectives linked to a string of burglaries targeting local celebrities.

"That they were celebrities, that it's easy to find out where they live via internet, and that none of the celebrities knew any of the suspects alleged in this crime ," said Detective Brett Goodkin, LAPD Hollywood Division.

Hollywood detectives say Ajar and six others worked together to steal millions of dollars worth of jewelry and clothing from Hollywood elite like Lindsay Lohan, Orlando Bloom and Paris Hilton. Authorities now say Brian Austin Green, Megan Fox and Ashley Tisdale were also victimized.

"Diligence and exhaustive follow ups by Los Angeles police department detectives led to the linkage of 10 cases and these 10 cases led us to a ring of suspects who utilized technology and various internet resources to track the calendars of high profile celebrities," said Detective Beatrice Girmala, LAPD.

Police say other known suspects, some of them caught on surveillance cameras outside of Lindsay Lohan's home, include Rachel Lee, Courtney Ames and Alexis Neiers all 18-years-old, and 19-year old Diana Tamayo, 27-year-old Roy Lopez and Nicholas Prugo who was arrested last month and charged last week in connection to the burglaries.

According to authorities, all the suspects face a number of serious charges.

"The charges range from residential burglary to felony and possession of firearms and a large amount of narcotics," said Goodkin.

Now prosecutors have declined to immediately file charges against 18-year-old Rachel Lee who was arrested in Las Vegas. Meantime, Nicholas Prugo who is already charged with two counts of burglary now faces an additional 5 counts of burglary.
