Dentists to buyback Halloween candy

LOS ANGELES It's all part of a nationwide trend to protect kids' teeth from the sugary stuff.

Somerset Family Dentistry in Torrance is among those buying back the candy.

This week, kids can bring their candy and get paid $1 per pound.

They also get an electric glowing toothbrush and a raffle ticket for an iPod or dinner at a local restaurant.

The sweets will be sent to U.S. troops overseas, who in turn will pass it out to locals.
